The Vancouver Canucks: A History of Playoff Appearances

53 Years of NHL Playoffs

From 1970 to 2023

The Vancouver Canucks are one of the most successful teams in the NHL, having made the playoffs 53 times in their 53-year history. They are the only team to have made the playoffs in every decade since their inception in 1970.

The Canucks have won two Presidents' Trophies, awarded to the team with the best regular season record, in 1992 and 2011. They have also won the Stanley Cup once, in 1918.

Some of the most memorable playoff moments in Canucks history include:

  • The "Miracle on Manchester" in 1994, when the Canucks came back from a 3-1 deficit to defeat the Toronto Maple Leafs in the first round of the playoffs.
  • The "West Coast Express" line of Markus Naslund, Daniel Sedin, and Henrik Sedin, who led the Canucks to the Stanley Cup Finals in 2011.
  • The "Sedin twins," Henrik and Daniel, who are the Canucks' all-time leading scorers and have been inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.

The Canucks are a proud and passionate team with a rich history of playoff success. They are always a contender for the Stanley Cup, and their fans are always excited to see what the playoffs will bring.
